Welcome! We are so thrilled to be tying the knot and can't wait to dance the night away with you on September 27, 2026. Here you'll find all the important details for our big day at the Reading Public Museum, including travel info and our schedule of events. We're looking forward to celebrating with a night of great company, lots of dancing, and maybe a few terrible puns. Don't forget to RSVP!
In 2014, Jay moved from south western Pennsylvania to eastern Pennsylvania after college for work. Looking for joy, exercise, and community, he began swing dancing. Heidi, who has always lived in eastern PA, had been swing dancing since high school and continued after college.
Heidi and Jay crossed paths at local dance venues for years but never really talked until 2017, when Heidi noticed a mutual friend chatting with Jay and joined the conversation. As Jay and Heidi began trading puns and silly intellectualisms, their mutual friend quietly melted away. Both Heidi and Jay walked away from the conversation excited for a new friend.. and maybe more.
Jay soon invited Heidi to carpool to a weekly dance, and before long they found themselves sitting in the car after the dance outside Jay’s apartment as an excuse to keep talking (and watch the local raccoons demolish his neighbor’s garbage cans).
In December 2018, they made it official. Talking in the car became talking while hiking, and hiking became taking trips to enjoy nature everywhere they could. In December 2025, Jay proposed to Heidi at their favorite place- Longwood Gardens. Today, their relationship is still built on puns, love of nature, dancing, and plenty of silly intellectualisms.

Our ceremony will be held in the Perennial Garden at the Reading Public Museum Arboretum.

Cocktail Hour
5:45 pm
After the ceremony, you will be invited into the museum building Second Floor Gallery for cocktail hour. Family is requested to remain outside for quick group pictures with the bride and groom.
Day of the Wedding
Dinner & Dancing
6:45 pm
We will then join you all for an night of dinner, drinks, and dancing! We can't wait to celebrate our first evening as a married couple with all of our favorite people.
